The fact that we are shooting in a different country for a limited time makes my role ever more important. I will need to insure that I am very proactive and decisive when editing in order to make the most of our time their. If I don’t do this, then later down the line when we have finished shooting, we could identify footage or audio that we need for our documentary but by then it will be too late. I will therefore make sure I edit after ever day/session. This will allow us to be able to acknowledge any issues and have a better understanding of the footage and content that we have obtained. By doing this I will be able to communicate with the crew members in regards to what works well as well as what footage/audio is perhaps missing or what we need or even what needs to be re-done.
